A Spanish-language talk show host who had her U.S. visa revoked in 2002 after being convicted of accepting bribes in Peru says she hopes that Hillary Clinton will be elected president so that she can finally re-enter the country.

“I tell Hillary Clinton, who is also a mom and knows what it’s like and how it hurts to be away from them, to evaluate my case, and hopefully she can give me a visa,” Laura Bozzo told Telemundo’s “Suelta la Sopa.”

Bozzo has hosted shows similar to “The Jerry Springer Show” on Univision, Telemundo and other Spanish-language networks which have aired throughout Latin America and the U.S.

She was arrested in 2002 for accepting millions of dollars in bribes from the head of intelligence for former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori. She served several years of house arrest and fled to Mexico after being released.

Bozzo sees Clinton as her best shot back into the U.S., where she formerly owned property and where her daughter reportedly lives.

“I’m not worried about Donald Trump,” Bozzo told “Suelta la Sopa.” “The next President of the United States is Hillary Clinton.”

Bozzo did not make clear why she thinks Clinton will help her with her visa case, though it could be because the Democratic front-runner has offered perhaps the most progressive immigration reform proposal of any candidate in the race. Clinton has said she would like to go beyond even President Obama’s amnesty initiatives.

Bozzo has faced possible deportation from Mexico. Last month it was reported that the Mexican government was considering cancelling her TV show and removing her from the country because of the “inappropriate” content of her program.
